Where should players get the real Verity file?

Start with edition and project identity

The safest answer is not one universal button. Verity Mod is a search phrase used for several Minecraft projects based on the Verity character. The current Java route is Verity JE by VarmiteYT on CurseForge and Varmite on Modrinth. The current Bedrock routes are Verity BE by Undertaletalelover and a separate Verity - Bedrock Edition add-on by PnTMC. Those projects differ by owner, Project ID, file format, game version, setup steps, and behavior.

A Java JAR belongs in a matching Forge or NeoForge profile. A Bedrock or MCPE package imports as an MCADDON and must activate behavior and resource packs in a world. If a page gives you an EXE installer, a password archive, or a renamed file without a publisher record, treat it as an unverified route. Use the download map when you need the current project links and use the file checker when you need to inspect a URL, filename, or local SHA-256 without uploading the file.

Common questions

Verity Mod download FAQ

What is the current Verity Mod Java download?

The current checked Java route is Verity JE 5.7.3 for Forge 1.20.1. The filename is verity-5.7.3.jar. The same current Forge file is represented by CurseForge record 8461257 and Modrinth version yAt0wv1Z. Check both the Minecraft version and loader before placing the file in a mods folder.

Is Verity Mod 1.21.1 NeoForge current?

A NeoForge 1.21.1 branch exists as verity-3.4.1.jar, but it is not the main current Forge 1.20.1 file. The maintainer labels that older branch as deprecated and buggy. Use it only when you are intentionally testing that exact branch and can keep it separate from an important Minecraft profile.

Does Verity Mod work on Bedrock or MCPE?

Yes, but not through a Java JAR. Bedrock and MCPE use add-on packages. Verity BE and PnTMC's Verity - Bedrock Edition are separate add-ons, each with its own project page and instructions. Import the MCADDON, activate the behavior and resource packs, enable the required world settings, and test in a fresh world before moving to a saved world.

Why does Verity Mod show an API connection failed or 429 error?

A 429 status usually means the configured AI provider has rate limited the request. On Java, check the provider key, selected model, endpoint, quota, and retry timing. Do not solve a 429 by downloading random replacement files. Use the API connection failed guide after the base mod loads in a clean profile.

Why does Verity only say dots or stop talking?

Dots, silence, or no response can mean different things on each route. Java problems often come from an AI provider, voice dependency, microphone permission, or loader mismatch. Bedrock problems often come from inactive packs, missing Beta APIs, commands not enabled, or a world that was made before the add-on was activated. Start with the not working checklist and keep the edition visible in every report.

How do I talk to Verity in Minecraft?

First identify the installed project. Verity JE, Verity BE, and the PnTMC Bedrock add-on do not share one universal chat rule. Some Java behavior depends on AI configuration. Verity BE 1.0.9 documents local text-to-speech behavior, while PnTMC has its own interaction instructions. Use the talk guide for route-specific steps.

Is VERITY.exe the same as the Minecraft mod?

No. A normal Minecraft Java mod is a JAR, and a Bedrock add-on is an MCADDON or MCPACK. An EXE can be a separate Windows program, installer, prank, or unsafe file. Do not treat an executable as a Minecraft mod just because the filename contains Verity. Read the VERITY.exe warning page before opening one.

Was Verity Mod taken down?

Some old routes moved, disappeared, or became outdated, while current checked routes still exist. A 404 page does not prove that every Verity project is gone. It can also mean a project slug changed, a file record was replaced, or a mirror linked the wrong artifact. The taken down and 404 guide explains how to recover safely without using random reposts.

Why this FAQ does not mirror downloads

Players need a chain of evidence

The useful evidence chain is project page, owner, Project ID, version, supported Minecraft build, loader or add-on format, file record, publication date, and checksum when the platform publishes one. This is why a file-only mirror is weaker than a maintainer page. A mirror can preserve a popular filename while losing the context that tells you whether the package is current, outdated, unrelated, or unsafe.

This Verity Mod FAQ links to internal guides because each question needs a different next step. Download intent goes to the release map. Java intent goes to loader matching. Bedrock intent goes to add-on activation. API intent goes to provider status. Voice intent goes to audio and setup checks. That structure is more helpful than sending every visitor to the same button.
