Falsity Mod vs Verity Mod

Falsity Mod searches are now mixed with Verity Mod, Verity sequel videos, FALSITY [SMILEY], a separate Falsity Mod Bedrock remake, and "Survive from VERITY or FALSITY" modpack results. Use this page before downloading so you can tell which CurseForge or Modrinth record you are looking at: a standalone Forge mod, a Bedrock MCADDON, a Verity JE Java file, or a full modpack profile.

Current source facts

FALSITY [SMILEY] records checked from CurseForge and Modrinth

These facts describe the public source route at this point in time. They are useful for identity checks, not a malware verdict and not a reason to trust copied mirrors.

Field Checked value Why it matters
Project FALSITY [SMILEY] by PKFL This is the source identity to compare against copied titles, videos, or file hosts.
Project ID CurseForge 1575216; Modrinth r8Qz0Ic2 Project IDs are harder to fake accidentally than a title or thumbnail.
Main file FALSITY-SMILEYARCHIVE-9.0.jar, CurseForge file ID 8528006, Modrinth version tNOLeN6v The exact file records separate the current route from old or renamed copies.
Hash route Modrinth SHA-512 begins 4889ad30c692 and SHA-1 is 24660ecba1c85f818550ce65ede4f78f29c44343 A hash match can identify the recorded bytes, but it is not a malware guarantee.
Game route Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge, Client and Server Do not install it into Bedrock, MCPE, console, or a Fabric-only profile.
Displayed reach 703,284 CurseForge project downloads; 10,240 Modrinth project downloads; 1.7K CurseForge file downloads at check Download counts show demand, but they do not replace source and version checks.
Setup notes Requires GeckoLib; optional external LLM, TTS, and STT providers Provider or voice errors should be debugged as setup issues before changing files.

Bedrock route

Falsity Mod Bedrock is a separate MCADDON route

Current search results also show a CurseForge Minecraft Bedrock Addons page named Falsity Mod by MCMOBZ. Treat it as a separate fan-made Bedrock remake route, not as the PKFL Java Forge JAR and not as a Verity BE file.

Field Checked Bedrock value Install meaning
Project page CurseForge Minecraft Bedrock Addons, MCMOBZ, Project ID 1594973 This is a Bedrock add-on route, so Java Forge instructions do not apply.
Current file Falsity_2_0_0_Addon_updated.mcaddon, file ID 8449365 MCADDON files import through Bedrock/MCPE flows, not the Java mods folder.
Game build Bedrock 26.30, published July 17, 2026, displayed size 23.1 MB Check your Bedrock build and pack activation before blaming the download.
Source wording The page describes it as a fan-made remake inspired by the original Falsity concept. Do not call it the original Java FALSITY [SMILEY] project or a Verity BE replacement.

Modrinth and hash check

Use Modrinth hashes to identify the Falsity 9.0 JAR

Modrinth's public API exposes byte-level hashes for the current Falsity 9.0 file. A matching SHA-512 proves that the selected file matches that publisher record; it still does not replace normal security judgment, launcher isolation, or source review.

Source Identifier Current file Use this signal for
Modrinth project r8Qz0Ic2 FALSITY-SMILEYARCHIVE-9.0.jar Confirm the source page when a result says Falsity Mod on Modrinth.
Modrinth version tNOLeN6v 331,408,253 bytes, Forge 1.20.1 Separate the current 9.0 record from older 8.1, 7.0, or copied filenames.
Publisher hash 4889ad30c692... SHA-512 Same filename as CurseForge file 8528006 Compare a local file without uploading it by using the homepage checker.

Route separation

Which page should you use?

You searched "Falsity Mod"

First decide whether the result is Java or Bedrock. The PKFL FALSITY [SMILEY] route is a Java Forge mod, so the expected package is a JAR and the expected launcher path is a Forge 1.20.1 profile. The MCMOBZ Falsity Mod route is a Bedrock add-on, so the expected package is an MCADDON and the expected setup is a Bedrock or MCPE import. If the result gives you an APK, EXE installer, password ZIP, shortened URL, or generic "all editions" package, treat it as a separate claim until it can be traced back to the publisher page.

Falsity uses some of the same search language as Verity because players discuss it as a related horror companion and because recent videos describe it as a Verity sequel or variant. That does not make the download interchangeable. If a tutorial says Falsity and the page says Project ID 1575216, do not replace it with Verity JE. If a tutorial says Verity JE or verity-5.7.3.jar, do not replace it with FALSITY [SMILEY].

You searched "Verity Mod"

Use the Verity route map first. Java players should verify Verity JE, the stable verity-5.7.3.jar route, Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge, and the Java dependencies. Bedrock and MCPE players should verify Verity BE, PnTMC, or Pocket Edition package records. Falsity can be a relevant related result, but it is not the base Verity Mod download answer.

The safest search behavior is to decide edition before file name. A Java JAR does not import into Bedrock. A Bedrock MCADDON does not go in a Java mods folder. A modpack ZIP is a profile route. A Falsity JAR should be compared to the Falsity project, while a Verity JAR should be compared to the Verity JE project.

Comparison

Falsity, Verity, and Verity or Falsity modpack results

Search result Checked source signal Use it when Do not use it when
FALSITY [SMILEY] CurseForge Minecraft Mods, PKFL, Project ID 1575216, file ID 8528006 You intentionally want the Falsity Forge 1.20.1 Java mod. You need Verity JE, Verity BE, PnTMC, MCPE, or a modpack profile.
Falsity Mod Bedrock CurseForge Minecraft Bedrock Addons, MCMOBZ, Project ID 1594973, file ID 8449365 You intentionally want the fan-made Bedrock remake MCADDON route. You need the Java FALSITY [SMILEY] JAR, Verity JE, or a Java modpack profile.
Verity JE Standalone Java Verity route with active stable file checks You want the Verity Java JAR and Java-specific setup help. You are following a Falsity tutorial or a Bedrock add-on guide.
Verity BE / PnTMC Bedrock MCADDON or MCPACK routes You play Bedrock, MCPE, or a compatible host world. You are installing Forge 1.20.1 Java files.
Survive from VERITY or FALSITY CurseForge modpack by kanthbuymi, Project ID 1583260, updated Jul 9, 2026 You want that whole modpack profile and have read its project page. You only need the standalone Falsity file or Verity JE file.

Setup and errors

Do not turn provider setup into a download problem

Commands and configuration are route-specific

The FALSITY [SMILEY] description exposes route-specific commands such as /connectfalsity, /falsitysetup, and /falsityconfig. Those are not universal Verity Mod commands. Verity BE, PnTMC Bedrock, Verity JE, and VERITY.exe have their own control and setup assumptions. Copying commands across projects is one reason players think the mod is broken even when they installed the wrong route.

If a command is missing, first prove that you installed the project that documents that command. Check the source page, Project ID, file ID, Minecraft version, and loader. Then test in a clean profile or clean world before adding other horror packs, shaders, resource packs, or server-side plugins.

AI, voice, and microphone features need their own checks

The Falsity project page describes optional external LLM, text-to-speech, and speech-to-text provider support, including OpenAI-compatible APIs, Gemini, Groq, Ollama, OpenRouter, and Whisper-compatible transcription. That means an API key, microphone, voice, or provider error can happen after the mod file itself is correct.

Do not paste API keys into random download pages, comments, or forms. Configure keys only in the game or provider flow that the project documents. If voice fails, prove typed chat first. If typed chat fails, prove the provider and config route. If the provider returns 401 or 429, use the API error pages instead of replacing a valid Falsity or Verity file with a mirror.

Commands

Falsity commands are not Verity commands

The public FALSITY [SMILEY] description names these command and control signals. Keep them on a Falsity Java Forge profile. Do not copy them into the Falsity Mod Bedrock remake, Verity BE, PnTMC Bedrock, Verity JE, or VERITY.exe unless that separate project documents the same command.

Command or key What the source page says it is for First check if it fails
/connectfalsity Change Falsity language. Confirm the installed project is FALSITY [SMILEY], not Verity JE, Verity BE, or the Falsity Bedrock remake.
/falsitysetup Give a custom name to the companion. Check Forge 1.20.1, GeckoLib, and whether commands are enabled in the profile.
/falsityconfig Open the configuration menu for optional AI, TTS, and STT provider settings. Fix API keys, provider endpoints, quota, microphone permission, or voice settings before replacing the file.
G Throw Falsity according to the current public description. Check keybind conflicts, profile focus, and whether the companion is active nearby.

Safety checklist

What to check before opening a Falsity or Verity file

Step 1 Source

Match the project page

For Falsity, match PKFL, CurseForge Project ID 1575216, file ID 8528006, or Modrinth project r8Qz0Ic2 and version tNOLeN6v for Java. If the result is Bedrock, match MCMOBZ, Project ID 1594973, and file ID 8449365 instead. For Verity, use the route map and match the appropriate Java, Bedrock, MCPE, or modpack record.

Step 2 Package

Check the file type

A Forge Java route should be a JAR or launcher-managed profile. A Bedrock route should use MCADDON or MCPACK files. A ZIP may be a modpack. An EXE or APK is a different claim.

Step 3 Purpose

Choose the right route for the job

Download pages solve source identity. Setup pages solve launch and commands. API pages solve keys, quotas, and provider status codes. Voice pages solve microphone and audio layers.

FAQ

Falsity Mod questions

Is Falsity Mod the same as Verity Mod?

No. FALSITY [SMILEY] is a separate CurseForge Minecraft Mods project by PKFL. It can appear in the same trend as Verity Mod, but Verity JE, Verity BE, PnTMC, VERITY.exe, and Verity Pack are separate routes with separate package types.

What file should I see for the current Falsity route?

At this check, the source page showed FALSITY-SMILEYARCHIVE-9.0.jar, file ID 8528006, uploaded Jul 28, 2026, for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. If a page gives a different package type, use the link checker before opening it.

Is there a Bedrock Falsity Mod?

Yes, but it is a separate fan-made Bedrock remake route. The current check found a CurseForge Minecraft Bedrock Addons page by MCMOBZ, Project ID 1594973, with file Falsity_2_0_0_Addon_updated.mcaddon, file ID 8449365, for Bedrock 26.30. Use it only when you want a Bedrock or MCPE add-on, not the Java FALSITY [SMILEY] Forge JAR.

Is the Falsity Mod on Modrinth too?

Yes. The source check found Modrinth project r8Qz0Ic2 and version tNOLeN6v for FALSITY-SMILEYARCHIVE-9.0.jar. The Modrinth version record includes SHA-1 and SHA-512 hashes, so the homepage checker can recognize that publisher fingerprint.

What do /connectfalsity, /falsitysetup, and /falsityconfig do?

The current public description says /connectfalsity changes Falsity language, /falsitysetup sets a custom companion name, and /falsityconfig opens the configuration menu for optional AI, TTS, and STT providers. These are Falsity route commands, not universal Verity Mod commands.

Does Falsity need an API key?

The source page describes external AI, TTS, and STT providers as optional and says the mod can use built-in local behavior systems and packaged voice lines by default. If you enable external providers, use your own provider dashboard and never paste keys into public pages.

Should I install Survive from VERITY or FALSITY instead?

Only if you intentionally want that CurseForge modpack profile. It is a separate route by kanthbuymi, Project ID 1583260. It is not the same as the standalone FALSITY [SMILEY] mod, Verity JE, or a Bedrock add-on.
